That 70's Joe

Hello, My name is Joseph Sheppard.  I graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in 1977. During the 1976-77 school year I was the photo editor of the school newspaper "La Yuca".  So, I spent that year with a camera or two hanging around my neck snapping black and white photos of almost everything that moved.  Back then it was cheap to take black and white pictures, especially if you had your own dark

room.  But, it was expensive to enlarge them.  So, I took hundreds of photos that never got blown up...... Until now!

A few years ago, I purchased a photo scanner that can handle negatives. The software I'm using for display allows comments to be posted about the photos. It works kind of like a message board, so you can leave comments too. I've commented on each photo.

I also have some old color prints and newspaper photos I've saved that I will scan and post.

It's been a long time, so I don't remember all the names, and I probably have some of them wrong, and I definitely have some misspelled. If you see an error, please leave a comment, and I'll correct it.

If you see yourself in one of these photos and do NOT want it on the Internet, please leave me an email, and I'll remove it.  You can also send me an email if you would like to be put on a list to receive an email notice when I add photos to this site.

Enjoy!
